The legal bits

If we reasonably form the view that the electricity consumed under this Energy Plan is excessive, unreasonable or for a purpose other than for personal or household consumption, we may end your plan with prior written notice to you. If we do so, your electricity supply will continue under a Standard Retail Contract.

Fair use does not include:

a. running a business at the premises;

b. engaging in illegal activities;

c. supplying electricity to another premises or dwelling that is not otherwise metered by your electricity meter;

d. charging a battery with a capacity greater than 80kWh;

e. charging a battery during the Free 3 period with the intent or effect of later exporting that energy to the electricity grid (for example, to receive a feed-in tariff or financial benefit);

f. hydroponic or commercial equipment; or

g. any electricity usage in such volumes or patterns that would not reasonably be expected in a typical residential setting; and

h. any commercial generation, energy trading or activity designed to financially benefit from export behaviour.
