The legal bits

If we reasonably form the view that the electricity consumed under this Energy Plan during the free electricity window is excessive, unreasonable or for a purpose other than for personal or household consumption, we may end your plan with prior written notice to you. If we do so, your electricity supply will continue under a Standard Retail Contract.

Fair use does not include:

a. any electricity usage in such volumes or patterns that would not reasonably be expected in a typical residential setting and/or routinely in excess of 24kWh per day;

b. running a business at the premises;

c. engaging in illegal activities;

d. supplying electricity to another premises or dwelling that is not otherwise metered by your electricity meter;

e. hydroponic or commercial equipment; and/or

f. any commercial generation, energy trading or activity designed to financially benefit from export behaviour unless it is in conjunction with an OVO Energy product or service that encourages export at specified times of day or periods of time.
